April 27, 2004- “Pain Management”, sponsored by Ortho McNeil~ Dinner Meeting at Courtney’s Café

 

May19, 2004- “Pediatric Emergencies”, Donna Fuller at Carroll County Hospital

 

June 15, 2004- “COX2 Inhibitors”, sponsored by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, speaker Dr. Tarantino~ Dinner Meeting at Kali’s Court

 

Ways and Means:

            50/50 Raffle at monthly meetings

            Cook Book sales to begin in spring

            Dinner Meetings

 

 

 

Goals:

·        Provide educational offerings for Baltimore District membership

·        Increase membership and encourage participation at monthly meetings by mailing reminder post cards to membership

·        Submit nominee for Excellence in Clinical Practice Award 2004

·        Plan Winter and Summer dinner meetings to provide an opportunity for education, networking and fundraising

·        Review and revise Bylaws for Baltimore District

·        Provide Educational scholarships based on point system

·        Encourage representation from Baltimore District CBSPAN at Nurses Night in Annapolis

·        Encourage PeriAnesthesia Nurses to become CPAN/CAPA cerfified

·        Provide recognition to certified PeriAnesthesia Nurses

 

3 Dinner Meetings have been offered to membership 2004

 

PANAW Week was celebrated by over 60 nurses this year. Certified PeriAnesthesia Nurses were presented with a corsage and acknowledged at the dinner. All attendees were given tote bags by the vendor and a PANAW logo measuring tape by the district.

A nominee has been selected for Excellence in Clinical Practice Award- Linda Cherney, RN from SurgiCenter of Baltimore

 

Several Baltimore District representatives attended Nurses night in Annapolis

 

4 Baltimore District Members will be partially funded for attendance at National Conference 2004

 

Member bring a guest campaign – (January- November 2004) Any member that brings a guest to a meeting (excluding dinner meetings) will have their name and their guest put in for a drawing for one year ASPAN membership or renewal.
