President’s Report
CBSPAN Board Meeting

ASPAN COMMUNICATIONS
- Hail, Honor, Salute! - The ASPAN Foundation has set up a
fund to which ASPAN members may donate money, the purpose of which is to
provide relief, and lessen the burden of our ASPAN colleagues directly
affected by Hurricane Katrina. The
funds will be placed in a special escrow account. When ASPAN is made aware of an ASPAN
member who has an immediate need because of this devastation, a portion of
these funds will be released to them to help lessen their burden. Visit the ASPAN web site and click on
“Hurricane Katrina Information, then “ASPAN Member Relief Fund”. The ASPAN office is waiving the annual
dues for our colleagues from LAPAN,MSPAN and ALAPAN that were directly affected. You can read stories about our members
and seek information at our web site.
- “Up and Comers” is a program designed
to look for motivated members willing to be mentored by ASPAN’s current
leaders. The leader would email
this person in order to clarify options, seek out interests, provide
guidance and identify/strengthen leadership skills. A small reception will be hosted by Meg
Burne at the National Conference for the up and comers and their mentors
to get acquainted. Submitted Tanya Spiering as CBSPAN “Up
and Comers”.
