D.C. District Chapter Report: July 26, 2008

For April, May and June 2008

 

The D.C. District sent three participants to Dallas, Texas for the National Conference 2008. Three scholarships were awarded for conference fees and $400 paid for hotel expenses for the President.

 

The tutoring sessions being offered at George Washington University for CPAN and CAPA certification ended March 2008. We plan to start another review in September 2008.

 

The education offerings have been:            April 15th Children’s Medical Center Washington, D.C.

                                                                                       Topic: Ultra Low Dose Catecholamines for Pain

 

                                                                    May 4-8th National Conference Dallas, Texas

 

                                                                    June 17th Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD

                                                                                    Topic: Pediatric Emergence

Ways and Means: Uncle Ralph Cookie drive grossed $2660 in sales. Susan Bonner from Kaiser was the biggest seller. Susan and MaryAnn Connelly sold $1100 worth of products.  Currently we are actively preparing for the October Fall Seminar at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland.

 

New Business: D.C. District is working with Myrna Mamaril for the ASPAN National Conference, 2009 at the National Harbor Gaylord.
