A Nursing Reception for Maryland Legislators

Dear Nursing Colleague:

 

            The Nursing Legislative Reception, “Nurses Night in Annapolis” will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 5:30 -7:00 PM, at the Governor Calvert House. This important reception will be preceded by a “briefing” for nurses on key issues about which they can talk to Legislators that will be held from 4:15 – 5:15 PM. 

The location of the briefing will be in the Legislative Services Building in the Joint Hearing room (in the event a hearing runs overtime the multipurpose rooms (#170 & 180) Lowe House have been reserved as an alternate). A photo ID will be required for entrance to this building. Updated information will appear on the MNA Website, www.marylandrn.org.

 

          All members of the Maryland General Assembly, as well as Maryland’s Congressional delegation, will receive a printed invitation to Nurses Night 2008. 

Light refreshments will be served.

 

          As in past it takes  financial support from many nursing groups and schools of nursing to put on this important showcase event for nursing.  Every penny donated to support Nurses Night goes directly to the cost of putting on the event.  I hope you will consider supporting this event this year at an Underwriter or Sponsor Level.  The support of your organization/ school or hospital  will be acknowledged in the program for the evening.
