Component Update

I Treasury Balance as of January 9, 2006

II. Membership 3 new component members

III. New CPANS for our component 2 from WCH

They had 3 sit for the exam and 2 passed

WCH Judy Bonebrake was the official CPAN who helped those who took test to study.

She found that the information that they purchased (New Study Book) was not helpful.

Information in the book was not included on the certification exam in November 2005.

1. Each Educational Offering offered by our local component is awarded 1.0 CEU
2. Average attendance for our monthly meetings is 10-15 RN’s

V. Fundraisers

a. Developing a cookbook to be submitted to Morris Press in February 2006 we plan to sell at our fall seminar.

b. Basket Raffle for Valentine’s Day – each Hospital is to create a basket and sell

Tickets $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

c. Bed and Breakfast Raffle (location of B&B Deep Creek Lake) Tickets $10.00

Each or 3 for $20.00 (approximate value $425.00)

c. Theme Baskets to be created by each Facility to be raffled during the Fall

seminar.

VI. Nationals

It is our hope to raise enough money to send approximately 7 active members

To Orlando Florida.

We hope to pay for all or a portion of the registrations fees and airfare.

However, it will depend on the amount of money raised with out fundraisers.

Only active members who regularly come to meetings will be considered for

Financial assistance.
