When did CBSPAN begin?

    The Maryland - DC Association of Recovery Room Nurses (known as CBSPAN today) were

    chartered as a component society on April 25, 1982. 

    1985 - 86:  Western Maryland was recognized as a new District with Baltimore and Washington, DC

                       Name was changed to MD/DC Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses

    1987 - 88:  Delaware/ Eastern Shore recognized as a new District

    1989 - 90:  Name changed to Chesapeake Bay Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses (CBSPAN)

    1997 - 98:  Name changed to reflect PeriAnesthesia Nursing to 

                      Chesapeake Bay Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses

CBSPAN will celebrate its 25th Anniversary as a Chartered Component, April 25, 2007.

Baltimore Chapter President - Jean Judge reports there are 124 members!

Eastern Shore Chapter President- Cindy Hurley reports 25 members!

Washington Chapter President - Donna Wilson reports 67 members!

Western Maryland Chapter President - Sue Kemp reports 24 members!
